The Covid-19 may be keeping  us apart, but your generosity is keeping families together!

Our shelters are helping keep families safe and in place during this strange time we find ourselves in. Domestic violence shelters are giving those fleeing abusive situations an option, a safe place to land. Angeline’s day center gives women a place to wash, eat, and rest. Transitional housing is putting women and families on the path to permanent housing. And the food bank is feeding 200 clients through home delivery.

Through the last month, your donations have provided the basics to keep them stocked and able to serve. The deliveries are keeping doors open, families fed, and kids engaged.

  1. With all the shelters full, domestic violence especially. We are seeking basic household needs, and things to keep kids entertained.
  2. Angeline’s day shelter, is seeing high numbers of women coming in. We are seeking hygiene items.
  3. The food bank is doing double it’s normal through home delivery. We are seeking food.
  4. Transitional housing just needs to take a deep breath and relax.  We are seeking pampering items for moms.

We can receive new donations Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 2820 E. Cherry St. offices. The doors are always locked, but there is a buzzer to let you in one at a time. Just let them know it’s for Nichelle Hilton, and your name.

Every item is need hundreds of times, so no need to worry if you see a “this items was bought already.” We have over 900 families to serve.

Please spread our needs far and wide,  even though we are staying apart, we are all in this together!

I thank you for your support!
