Update as of May 5, 2020

On Friday, May 1, Governor Inslee announced the extension of the stay-home order. In light of this, all tournaments have been canceled through May 31. This includes cancelation of the Sterling Invite in Wenatchee over Memorial Day Weekend.

The Plan: Governor Inslee presented a 4-phased approach to reopen business and modify social distancing measures.

USA Softball of Washington
Earlier this week, USA Softball shared they are developing “Back to the Park Guidelines” which will encompass safety and physical distancing as well as plan to maximum field usage as outlined in phase 4 of Governor Inslee’s plan.

What does this Mean for SFC
We are closely monitoring the facts presented by Governor Inslee, the CDC, and USA Softball. At this point we are planning for the phases of Governor Inslee’s plan to start on-time.

Please note: As an organization, SFC is registered and insured with USA Softball. We are going to follow their lead when/how to get back out on the field. Below are the phases of Governor Inslee’s plan that are relevant to SFC.

Season Extensions
All tournament governing bodies (USA Softball, NSA, USSSA, WCP Fastpitch, etc) have extended the 2020 season. This means… Be Ready!!

Important!
All four teams will be playing throughout the summer, potentially into September and beyond. Therefore there will be a natural roll into the 2020-2021 season and there likely will not be a break in August between seasons. Coaches will be communicating directly with teams on plans for the summer / fall season and beyond.

We have yet to determine how this will impact tryouts for next season. More to come as the phases of Governor Inslee's plan rollout.
